The following section outlines the terms and conditions relating to the allocation of points to members by AGL. It should be read in conjunction with and in addition to the standard flybuys Terms and Conditions.Points
- flybuys members that are Eligible AGL Customers will be issued one (1) point for every whole dollar paid to AGL for payment of the member’s gas and/or electricity bill.
- Points cannot be earned on other AGL services including solar purchases or installations, AGL Assist and Energy Shop products and services and products and services other than the sale of gas or electricity.
- AGL reserves the right to amend the range of products and services that are eligible to earn points from time to time at its discretion.
- Points will be issued on recognition by AGL of payment (in part or full) to a linked AGL customer account.
- Points will be credited to a member’s flybuys account within 30 days from recognition of payment by AGL.
- Points issued by AGL can be reversed at AGL's and/or flybuys' discretion, including if a member’s payment is dishonoured, a refund is given, and/or if there has been a wrong allocation.
- AGL reserves the right not to issue points to an Eligible AGL Customer whose energy account has been assigned to an agent for the collection of debt.
- From time to time, AGL may offer BONUS POINTS to existing or new AGL customers.
- AGL is responsible for the calculation of points offered by AGL for a member’s energy consumption, but AGL is not responsible or liable for the provision of points, which is the sole responsibility of flybuys.
- AGL is a points issuer only. Points cannot be redeemed through or with AGL or any AGL affiliated entities.
To be an Eligible AGL Customer who can earn points though AGL, a member must:
- a) hold an active residential gas and/or electricity account with AGL in New South Wales, Victoria, South Australia or those parts of Queensland where AGL operates;
- b) have successfully linked their flybuys membership number to their AGL Energy Account(s) via the flybuys registration process;
- c) be successfully registered for and remain on eBilling with AGL (which requires the provision of a valid email address);
- d) be set up on AGL Energy Online;
- e) ensure that their AGL account name is identical to their flybuys membership name; and
- f) adhere to AGL’s minimum payment terms and conditions.
ActewAGL and Powerdirect customers and AGL business customers are not eligible for points from AGL.Privacy
- By linking their AGL energy account(s) to their flybuys membership number, members are consenting to AGL holding their flybuys membership number.
- AGL will notify flybuys of the number of points members have earnt from payment of their AGL energy bills. Any information relating to members and their participation in flybuys through AGL may also be used by AGL for marketing, planning, product development, research and other commercial purposes.
An AGL customer who signs up to Direct Debit to pay their AGL account or an AGL customer who is already paying their AGL account by Direct Debit will, provided they satisfy the eligibility criteria set out in AGL flybuys terms and conditions, be issued with 500 BONUS POINTS (max one issue of 500 BONUS POINTS per residential account number).
